Health begins with teeth

The status of this institution was raised to a Center, the clinic was renamed in view of the expansion of the range of medical services that are provided here for both adults and children. To speak with Dr. Al-Budnain Ali, at the end of his working day, he waited a few minutes in a soft chair in the cozy lobby of the center, until he, an orthopedic surgeon by dental specialty, finished seeing the patient. And now the director and owner of the clinic, with a friendly smile, is already greeting me, let's get to know each other. 30-year-old Dr. Ali, who graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, is a motivated and promising doctor. He speaks at conferences of Ukrainian dentists — shares his experience of treating patients, and participates in such international gatherings of his colleagues in the specialty.

— Dr. Ali, what types of dental services can those who have problems with their teeth receive at the DR ALI`S DENTAL CENTER clinic?

— I'll start with children — they also often have pain, decay, and loss of teeth. We provide all types of services to boys and girls: therapeutic — treatment and filling of root canals, and surgical — tooth extraction, restoration of lost teeth.

— We know that many children and even some adults are terrified of visiting the dentist's office...

— This is dentophobia, that is, the patient's pathological fear of the procedures performed by the doctor during dental treatment. However, modern children (and those adults who have such a fear) have the opportunity to avoid this phobia — in our clinic, a method of treating patients in medicated sleep has been implemented, which more than two decades ago began to be used in the practice of pediatric dentistry in European countries and the USA. Among the Ivano-Frankivsk clinics, ours is distinguished by the fact that the doctors here are not general dentists, but narrow specialists, that is, everyone performs some part of the center's provision of dental care to patients: some specialize in the treatment of root canals only, and some — in performing surgical manipulations, functions of an orthodontist, orthopedist, pediatrician.

— Providing high-quality services to patients requires the doctor to have both the necessary theoretical knowledge and the appropriate practical skills for performing dental manipulations...

— For this, in my opinion, it is necessary to learn not only from manuals, to obtain information about the latest methods of treatment not only from social networks, but also to borrow professional skills directly from highly qualified specialists. From, say, a well-known foreign professor and at the same time a medical practitioner, who willingly reveals the secrets of his profession to Ukrainian doctors. In recent years, our clinic has spent considerable sums of money on such training of doctors. They attend advanced training courses once every three months: currently, unfortunately, due to the state of war, only in Ukraine, but previously they also went to European countries. I believe that without studying the most modern technologies of dental practice, without the specialists of the clinic acquiring new knowledge, it is impossible to hope for an increase in their professional level.

— However, in order to implement the best global dental experience into practice, you need to have appropriate medical equipment...

— Our philosophy consists precisely in the fact that the treatment of adults and children without the use of the latest technologies, which in turn is possible only with proper technical equipment of the institution, means only the production of deficient patients. Therefore, so that the doctors of the DR ALI`S DENTAL CENTER clinic can work according to the methods of world dental practice of the XXI century, we invest maximum funds in the purchase of equipment, in particular, the most modern microscopes and dental chairs, intraoral scanners and various types of devices for X-ray diagnostics of patients. After all, thanks to the 100% use of the capabilities of such equipment, we guarantee the patient a long-term result of treatment, and this is what distinguishes our clinic from many others in the city.

Otherwise, the treatment would be difficult and long, and we simply would not be able to give a person a full guarantee regarding the expected positive result. In addition, when providing services to patients, we use purely certified materials, which are considered the best in Europe. We order from pharmaceutical companies only those materials on which at least three thousand studies have been conducted with different patients from different countries. There are few such materials on the market that are more expensive than others, but properly tested.

I draw this conclusion also on the basis of the fact that many patients come to our center after cheaper for them — the so-called business treatment in some private institutions. Yes, there are many private clinics in the city today, and not only dental ones, but I would divide them tentatively into two groups: medicine that deals with business, and medicine that provides high-quality treatment. When I was studying at the Ivano-Frankivsk Medical University, I wanted in the future to be a specialist who gives people health, even if his services are more expensive, but high-quality, and not implement a business option in his medical activity, that is, treat people as they say, cheap and angry. Therefore, the doctors of our center do not chase after the largest possible number of patients: in the staff of the institution, the first priority is the quality of providing services to dental patients.
